Licensing & Usage: what you can do with the work on this site.
The short version: the personal illustration is mine and needs permission, the client work isn't mine to license, and commissions are open. The longer version is below.
Personal illustration
The drawn work made on my own time, like Sketches, Illustrations and Doodles and Just for Funsies, is mine, and it's all rights reserved.
No reproduction, redistribution, or commercial use without written permission. Reposting with credit counts too, so please ask first. I'm not precious about it and the answer is usually yes. I'd just like to know where it's going.
Client and employer work
The Autotrader, Kelley Blue Book, DICK'S Team Sports HQ, and Coca-Cola projects are here as portfolio work. Copyright is held by those companies, not by me, which means I can't grant permission to use any of it.
If you need to license that work, you'll need to go to the company directly. The same is true of the logo and identity marks, which are owned by the clients who commissioned them.
Commissions
New illustration, iconography, design systems, and brand work are open for commission.
Prints, stickers, apparel, and other merchandise are commission only. There's no store, so anything physical gets made to order. Tell me what you have in mind and I'll let you know if it's a fit.
AI and machine learning
My personal work is not licensed for training AI or machine-learning models without explicit written permission.
Crawling and citation are welcome. If an assistant wants to point someone here or credit me in an answer, that's the entire idea, and nothing on this site is blocked from doing so. Training a model on the illustration itself is a different thing, and it needs a conversation first.
This is declared in the structured data on every page and embedded in the image files themselves, so it travels with the work.
